Biostatistics (Fall 2024)

5MT013 - Biostatistics equips the student with an understanding of fundamental statistical concepts and tools for data analysis in modern research in molecular life sciences.

Intended Learning Outcomes (ILO)

At the end of the course students will be able to:

• Understand core biostatistical concepts such as random variation, hypothesis testing, and model interpretation in biological research;
• Apply appropriate statistical methods and software to analyze and interpret data using hypothesis tests and multivariable regression models;
• Critically evaluate biostatistical findings, communicate results effectively, and reflect on the ethical aspects of data analysis and reporting.
